    About the Company

    Avon-Dynamic Calibration are an established UKAS Accredited Calibration and Testing Laboratory with accreditations in Electrical, Dimensional, Pressure, Temperature, Torque and CMM Metrology / Inspection Laboratory.

    Avon-Dynamic have an impressive customer base and operate a technically advanced calibration laboratory with niche equipment.

    About the Role

    This position will suit someone who has the relevant qualifications or experience, a professional approach to work, be punctual, conscientious and enthusiastic and has a flexible and practical approach to work.

    Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

    • To calibrate electrical, pressure, temperature type measuring instrumentation to specific parameters and in line with industry standards onsite at customers facilities.
    • Accurately recording results and in line with industry standards.
    • Work with the Technical Management Team in improving efficiencies and technical opportunities for onsite calibration and testing.
    • Comply with company H&S guidelines.

    Skills & Attributes Required:

    • Completed relevant electrical / electronic apprenticeship.
    • Calibrating electrical measuring instrumentation to in-house or national standards.
    • Must have previous experience of calibrating test equipment, Calibrators, 17th Edition Test Equipment, Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, DMM’s, Clamp Meters, Ammeters, Volt Meters, PAT Testers, Insulation Testers and other general-purpose test equipment.
    • Relevant electrical / electronic qualifications.
    • Knowledge of Pressure & Temperature Oven calibration is desirable, although not essential.
    • Must be PC literate.
    • Be able to work with minimum of supervision.

    The ideal Calibration Engineer will have:

    • HNC or higher qualification in a relevant electrical / electronic discipline.
    • Experience of calibrating electrical equipment to UKAS type standards.
    • Fully conversant with BS EN ISO 17025.
    • Knowledge of Fluke MetCal automated calibration software.
    • Ability to perform minor electrical repairs and adjustments to equipment.
